Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri
My instructor called me a gorillia in front of my peers in the dark room. he said " damn gorillia" referring to the way i was using the enlarger then he said " oh look, she's mad now" cuz i didnt respond. Is that right?

At the very least, this behavior probably violates the school's policies. You should probably go to the teach in priovate and ask for apublic apology for the comments. If you are not satisfied with the response, then go to the school's administartion and explain the situation and the damage it caused you. Perhaps they will address the situation.
Unless the activity was somehow discriminatory based upon the proscribed criteris i.e. race, religion, gender, etc. one time comments may nto be actionable in court. But you may be able t to use to get yrou tuition and cbooks refunded if the activity custs down on yrou ability to learn in that call. The schools know this, and are likely to addres the situation. Make notes of the days and times to that you talk to each of them, and be able to relate those notes intelligently when you go up the ladder to get the ill treatment addressed.
