Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri
Internal Affairs Threat
I went to file a complaint with Internal Affairs against a couple of detectives, one has threatened me. They want me to be quiet about a homicide that has taken place, one they immediately closed and are covering up. I was told by the IA that he knew these guys for years and what I was describing doesnt happen these were good guys. I was denied my right to make a written complaint and then he made a threatening remark to me as he walked me out and my friend who drove me down there was afraid to drive out of there, he was standing off to the side and heard the whole thing, IA guy didnt see him until after it was already out of his mouth. Who would I contact to file a complaint against this Internal Affairs guy and these detectives? Doesnt every citizen have the right to file complaints when misconduct of officers and detectives are exhibiting misconduct?
