Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

I am involved in a civil rights suit against my former employer. The owner has declined to show up for depositions on three seperate occassions. Does this tend to work in my favor come trial time? Does the court frown on this?

This is a multifacited suit envolving racial discrimination, age discrimination, disabilities discrimination, and a physical assault on me by one of the co-owners of the company where I was employed. This co-owner was 33 years my junior.
