Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri
I lost a judgement over 10 years ago, and I recently received a letter from a sheriff from another county, which happens to be the capitol of Missouri issue me a letter stating that I am hereby notified in accordance with applicable statues and court rules that I have in my hands an execution against you in said cause returnable on the 1 day of August, 2009 and yu are further advised that a 513.430 RSMo 1989 provides following property shall be exempt from attachment execution to the extent of any person's interest therein. What does this mean?

It means that the judgment creditor is trying to collect the judgment. You did not say to whom the Writ of execution was addressed (i.e. your bank, your employer, etc.) The Sheriff was giving you notice of the Writ, so that you might seek to contest it. If nothing has happened in this case for more than ten years, you should contest the Writ and try to get it quashed. It may well be worth hiring an attorney to do this for you.
