Re: Not Getting Paid for the Hours that I worked
You have not provided enough information, for me to give you a specifically detailed answer. However, given the bare facts that you worked over forty hours somewhere, doing something, and got paid for just over twelve hours, means that you were cheated. Teh type of work you do, the way that your work/pay are measured, and the rate of pay effect whether and how you may fix this problem.
Were you to be paid by the hour or by the piece of work done? Did you punch an time clock or fill out time sheet.? this will be great evidence of teh work and wages due.
Are you a supervisor? If so, you may not be paid hourly.
You need, to supply more information in order for an attorney to assist you. You may be able to get help by calling the wage and hour division in Jefferson City.
Good Luck, and let me know if I can help more.
