Police made my name public,after I reported anonymous crime on phone

Please help, I called a anonymous hotline to report person who committed arson,I talked to the police it was all anonymous as I was told and requested.After investigation was complete, the person who committed arson went down and got the full written report Beta for Beta on the conversation that I had with the police.Since it had my name,address& phone he '' the crimmal'' made a copy of the report and sent it to me and my family with some threating hand written comments.I cannot believe the police messed up.My wife and kids are scared.what is this man capable of? I need help. Please someone I need to file Lawsuit against police.P.S On the copy of the report he sent me with the police it states the police said that this would be anonymous.Please I need a attorney or advice on where I can find one. I live in louisiana but the crime happened in Missouri. Thank you.

First thing I would do is contact the FBI or Postal Inspector and report the threat sent to you through the mail. I would suggest you contact a Missouri attorney concerning your right to sue the Missouri police agency.
