Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Missouri

I recently bought a vehicle from a dealership and at time time it would not pass emissions. Was that legal for him to sell that to me? Also he sold us a extended warranty ( He showed us a pamplet of one policy which we thought we were getting but, signed us up for a different company than he showed us, And now we have had out of pocket costs because the parts were not covered ,when the pamplet he first showed us did cover those parts ) Is that good to take to small claims over?

Vehicles can be sold "as is" which means you do not have claim agsint the seller, if it will nto pass inspection. However, you may have claim agaionst the seller bases upon the warranty(ies). There may have been a deceptive practice violation for the swirtch on the warranties. Go over the details of your specific situation with an attorney in your area. They can answer more questions. They might even help you prepare your small claims or associate case.

Good Luck
