while playing a virtual adult game i came across a forum that depicted underage avitars in various sexual situations. isn't this illeagal or is this covered under first admendment rights since it is "art" and not reality?

Possibly. Depends on state attorney's priorities. What is depicted specifically, age depicted, how artistic, etc. Pornography is decided on a case-by-case basis in view of facts and community standards.
