Legal Question in Technology Law in Missouri

spam

I live in Wisconson and the source of the spam I am getting is from Missouri. Missouri have a anti-spaming law (Senate Bill 763 (2000)Sections 407.1300 to 407.1340, but Wisconson doesn't. I was wondering if I can sue him or do I have to live in Missouri to use that law. I would need a Missouri laywer right?

If I get a lawyer can he got the guy's computer the same time that we file agianist him (for proof).

Re: spam

The Missouri Law is really meant to regulate the conduct of outsiders inside the state but could be used against the Missouri company if the allegations were sufficient to give rise to a cognizable claim.

Do you have any damages associated with the SPAM? Is your major complaint annoyance? If you have not lost money, or at the least, if it hasn't cost you money, its probably not a case worth pursuing.

A Missouri Attorney could not seize the computer, but would be able to conduct discovery to see if the material had been sent.
