Legal Question in Construction Law in Missouri
A contractor has had our deposit check ($1650) for 90 days, and has not started any work. What are our rights to force the return of our money? Is this a matter for small claims court, or can we pursue this through other channels?

If you were smart enough to deal with a bonded contractor, you can make a claim against his bond company. If not, then you will likely have to sue, or at least pay an attorney to write a letter demanding the return of your money.
