Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri

Auto Installment Purchase

Do we have 3 business days to cancel an auto installment contract? We found out after signing contract they had the used pickup truck priced over $5,000.00 higher than blue book value, thus gave us nothing for our trade in.They advertised that vehicles were priced below wholesale.

Re: Auto Installment Purchase

You may have a case against the car dealer, but you'll need to find an attorney who handles cases involving automotive fraud to find out. Sometimes Chapter 407 of the statutes protects you in this situation. You should immediately seek out an attorney to help you in this matter.

As a general rule the right to cancel contracts comes only with sales made at your home by a salesman who comes to you. A normal consumer contract is not cancelled within three days.
