Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri

If you buy a pretired police car from a police department are they under a legal obligation to tell you of a notification that they recieved from the manufacture reguarding a potential mechanical problem that might happen to this vehicle and a class action settlement? I f they ignore the letter and fail to tell you about it and tell you that the vehicle is in good working order is this not fraud? The lasst day for bclaims was in 2010 and I bought the vehicle in 2009. I would have had the vehicle checked for this specific problem if I would have known.

The entitly that you bought the car form may have had an obligation to share recall notices they received. But, as for fraud, the statute of limitations is very short. You need to consult directly with a civil attorney in your area soon. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. They can look at the specific facts of your situation and discuss your options with you.

Good luck
