Used cars can be sold in Missouri 'as is', without any warranty. A warranty is only as good as the person behind it. Most of my local complaints about warranties on used cars come from smaller dealers in Jackson County MO and Wyandotte County KS. A warranty offered by a 'we finance anyone' type dealer is usually not worth the paper it's printed on. If possible, patronize the larger dealers in affluent neighborhoods. Yes, you will pay more up front, but you get what you pay for. If you have any questions about warranty specifics, feel free to contact me.
