Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Car dealer disclosure
I just bought a used car from a local dealer. I requested a car fax report 3 times and was not provided with it. When I added the car to my insurance, my agent informed me that the car had a past collision claim for around $2,600. Do I have any recourse with the dealer for not disclosing this?

Re: Car dealer disclosure
I believe that you probably only have a valid claim if the car dealer specifically told you it had not been in a crash.
Did you know that you can get a carfax yourself directly from the company? Go to www.carfax.com. I would do that from now on (even if the dealer hands you a free printout, just to make sure it's truthful).
Good luck,
