Consumer Fraud

Purchased vacation with 4 hour nonstop flight & 3:40 PM depart time. Not want to get kids up at 3:00 AM for early flight. Return flight 4-1/2 hour nonstop.

Purchased chartered flights canceled. Tour operator offered $600 future travel credit to accept non chartered 6-3/4 hour flight (2 hour layover) with 7:25 AM departure. Return non chartered 8-3/4 hour flight (with 3-1/2 hour layover).

After return, received $600 future travel vouchers. Previously undisclosed, $600 credit not good on all travel packages offered by provider, only on packages utilizing chartered flights to destinations outside the USA. Would require to spend much more than value vouchers, versus minor expenditure to go to inexpensive USA destinations offered by provider.

Any law for Missouri against adding undisclosed after the fact conditions requiring large additional expenditures & travel outside USA, to induce us to accept undesirable alternate travel arrangements we agreed to under protest?

There may be some consumer laws that the facts you described would violate. It woudl require moire facts and significant research to determine that. Under the common law, you may have a case for fraud, when they do not accept your voucher for travel within the US. Good Luck
