Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
I found a piece of cardboard in a Hot Pocket brand microwave sandwich. When I contacted them they just wanted the piece of cardboard. It is a piece about .25 inches wide about 2 inches long and very thin. This was inside the sandwich is there any kind of compensation for this? Thank you for your time.

You were right to inform the company of their mistake. Of course, if you suffered any discomfort of injury from biting into the cardboard, you might get compensation. If you merely found it, and were not injured, you might not get anything. But, the company may compensate you with coupons for free merchandise, to apease you and keep you from promoting bad news about them.
Good luck
