Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Free Water?
I paid for 24/16 oz bottles of water in the hopes of giving them away for free with a bible verse attatched by rubber band to the neck of the bottle. Even if I gave the store bought water away for free, would there be any legal mishaps that I could be liable for?

Re: Free Water?
I suppose if you dropped the bottle on someone's toe, you could be liable for that, or if you tampered with the water. But absent those things, it is unlikely you would be liable for anything. In order to incur liability somoene has to be injured, and their injury has to be tied to your negligence (not the negligence of the bottled water manufacturer). So, assuming you did not negligently store the product, or give out a product you knew or should know is bad, you should be just fine.
