Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Is it legal for an internet retail company to charge your credit card for merchandise at the time that you place an order, or do they legally have to wait until the item ships?

Under the facts you described, there apepars to be nothing unlawful about charging the credit card when the purchase is made. If the items purchased are not delivered within a reasonable time, you should be able to get the charges reversed through your card company.
