Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Mechanic charging for mis-diagnosis
We dropped our car at a mechanic's and told them what we were sure was the problem; they called and said they were positive there was something different wrong and assured us that it would be fixed. After making the repairs that they had recommended, the car still was not right and we were told that it was what we had thought in the beginning. Now they want us to pay for their incorrect repairs before they will do any more work.

Re: Mechanic charging for mis-diagnosis
Do you have a question? I am assuming that you are asking whether you have to pay for teh unneeded repair. You have not provided enough information to answer that question. Please give more detials as to what repairs were requested and made, and how the mechanic got permission to do the unneeded work.
