Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Nightlight caused house fire
A Disney/Pixar nightlight was the primary source of a fire in our house. What recourse do we have for pain and suffering, outside of the coverage of repairs and replacement through our insurance provider?

If it can be proved at trial that the maker/designer of the nightlight was negligent, you could obtain all foreseeable damages, including pain and suffering. It sounds like itmay be very dificult to show a design/manufacturing flaw sufficiento prove negligence, but it is theoretically possible.
