Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
I purchased a car from a local dealer, I traded my auto in to which they did a cash purchase and I took a loan out for the one purchasing. However, the FNI guy left, paperwork got all messed up and now I have had the car two months, no paperwork to get license or pay taxes, driving on dealer tags and the loan company has yet to pay the dealer as they need more info (I have provided info but still need more documents) but they want me to pay on the loan already... How do I proceed? I am ready to return the vehicle, get my money or car back and stop messing with this. I now have late fees for sales tax, license ect. due to no fault of my own.

In Missouri, a car dealer must provide clear title or the sale is voidable. I assume you are financing this car through the dealer. If so, that may make the loan voidable also. Do you have a copy of the sales/loan contracts? They are required to have statutory language in them regarding loan details, or they may be in violation of Missouri law. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this in more detail.
