Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
I purchased a new outboard motor. It quit the first time out. I took it back the dealer can't tell me what's wrong with it. Can I go get it without paying him. It has a 5 year warranty

It isn't clear what happened. When you say "Can't tell me what is wrong, " you.mean it operates fine at the shop, you might owe a small shop fee. If you meant that they agree it isn't running, but the dealer cannot figure out why, you can probably pick it up without being anything. But, wouldn't you rather that they rlace it under the warranty?
