Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
Stolen Ring at Car Dealer
I had repairs done at a MO New Car dealership and a gold diamond ring in the ashtray was stolen. They are taking no responsibilty even though they say only 1 of 3 people handles my car. But it's their word against mine. DO I have any recourse? I have alsready contacted my home owners insurance but it will cost me my deductable and also raise my insureance rates and this doe not even cover the value of this 28 year old family heirloom.
Thank you.
Paul

Re: Stolen Ring at Car Dealer
Perhaps you should examine your automobile policy. If you have full coverage, the stolen ring may be covered. Consult your insurance agent, if you are unsure.
Otherwise, there may be no other recourse then to hire an attorney to deal w/ the dealership, or file suit.
Good Luck,
