Legal Question in Consumer Law in Missouri
What can I do?
Went to Walmart to get item locked in security case. Manager came to unlock glass case and immediately, snobbishly asked me if I was purchising or looking? Would not let me hold merchandise. He carried item to checkout and ask where I am parked on the lot. He insructs another to escort(HIM) out after purchase. I continued shopping, but when I went to front checkout lanes, same manager and associate who previously checked me out were walking behind...as if to follow me to the front. I call to complain and get the same manger who says that because of high theft, he is required to walk item to checkout. What about me not being able to even hold item I am purchasing...or snobbishly asking if I am buying or looking? Why is it his business where I am parked and why do I need an escort to the front of the store? I was made to feel like a criminal, a theif or low-life! What can I do to assure that this type of thing is not walmart policy or procedure and that it never happens again to anyone else...do I have a case?

Re: What can I do?
Unfortunately, there is no case here. Had they arrested you falsely, you'd have had a case. As it is all they are guilty of is bad manners.
I would take my business somewhere else, and I would write Walmart's Corporate office about the way I was treated.
