Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
What happens if you are under 18 and get a credit card?
I recieved a credit card in my name (not from my parents)when I was 16. I defaulted on it, and now eight years later a collection agency is trying to get the bad debt. Since I was 16 do I have any rights? I asure you that the credit card was in my name only and I did not have my parents put me on their account as an authorized user.

You are not responsible! You had to be 18 to sign the original contract and the claim is void anyway after 5 years.
You may have a claim against the credit card company for violation of federal law. Call me for help.
