Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

Can you bill a company for time spent and expenses trying to resolve a paid bill they miss applied to the wrong account and have turned over for collection.

We have spent several hours on the phone, going to bank for copy of statements and cancelled check showing they have cashed the check.

And any Attorney fees to clear from credit history

Issue is still not resolved
