Is it legal for a company to refuse to except cash for a legal debt on a house payment at a branch office?

If your writtne agreement calls for payment to be made in acertain matter, that can become the law between the parties. Otherwise, the law assumes that payment will be made in legal tender or negotiable instrument.
I can see business reasons for nto wanting to take cash. But, i would not want to be the one trying to defend a late payment charge where the debtor trid to pay in cash within the time, and was then sent to get a money order out of time.
