3 years ago i put my children on my checking account due to social security payments they received. Death benefits. I believe they were both minors. They did nothing wrong and one was just 14 and i know for sure he never wrote a check. My daughter might have wrote a couple all good. I got in trouble with service charges. Since then my daughter has gotten married and my son is turning 18. Now they are blocked from having accounts opened up. I am going thrugh bankruptsy. The account was discharged. Please I will do ANYTHING to clear their names. I can't have them punished for their mother making such huge mistakes. I am just dying inside that i did this to them. please help.

Your son may be able to contest his name being added to the account. Since your daughter wrote checks on the account, she cannot. The best way for you to get their credit free is to settle or pay the debt to the bank, despite it being discharged against you.
