If I get a credit card in my husbands name without his knowledge is he responable for payment of the charges I have charged

If he can prove that you did so without his knowledge or permision, your husband may be able to avoid a collection action by the credit card company. But, he may have to make a police report against you in order to do this. Of course you know that what you propose can put you in jail for fraud.
