Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
I had a credit card 6 years ago with a large outstanding balance. I haven't received any bills from this company since that time. I am still at the same address. Now I get a letter from an attorney 6 years later stating the big amount I owe, of course they have added interest and late payment fees. The bill is almost triple the original amount. My question is "Is there a statute of limitations on a credit card bill?"

Yes, but a statute of limitations can be tolled for various reasons. You say you haven't received any bills. However, was the card ever cancelled? Did anyone use the card in that time? Were you ever sued for this balance? Feel free to contact me if you want to look into this.
