Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
credit judgements
I have recently had my bank account frozen for a garnishment on a credit card. Problem is that my child support payments also go into this account. Can this be legally done? I have direct deposit and I was thinking about puttng into a different account, would they be able to gain access to that as well?
Any suggestions would be helpful,
Thanks,
Hazel

Re: credit judgements
A Judgement creditor will not ahave access to your other bank account until they learn of it, and make a seperate Request for Execution. Once someone has their bank account attached, it is common for them to stop putting money into that bank.
Good Luck
