Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

Debt

I was enrolling into Harris-Stowe State University in the spring of 2007, but i stop the enrollment process when i went through the fianical aide offices because of issues. The problem is that the school still charged me with these ''non-refundable fee's'' that they say is associated with registration, upon my research i came across the school policy on students who have never attended the university which clearer states that all fees except the school's application fee (which i do understand i have to pay)shall be nullified. They have sent this debt to a collection agency and i have tried numreous of times to speak with key people in that school but i always get the run around..what shall i do??

Re: Debt

Write a letter to the collection agency that says you dispute the debt, and request that they verify it. Good luck.
