Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I have been with a debt services for 10 months who have been handling negotations with my creditors but I just was summons from one of the creditors for breach of contract. How should I handle this? I have NEVER been summons for anything in my whole 46 years of life. I'm confused on how to go about dealing with this issue. The amount owed is 1, 684.54.

You must file atimely Answer to teh Petition and Appear in Court at the intitial answer docket. Otherwise, a judgmetn may be taken against you by default. Although the debt is small, it may be worth hiring an attorney to help you build your defense, even if they never appear for you in court.
