Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
Default to the children?
My mother has terrible credit and has filed bankruptcy once already. She has been taken to court by a creditor and is getting ready to file bankruptcy again. My boyfriend and I are getting ready to move in together and he is concerned about the ramifications that can come to him if he is legally tied to me. Is it possible for the creditors to come after us(the children)? And what can be done about it if so.

Re: Default to the children?
You have not stated any facts that would give a creditor of your mother the right to come after you for her debt.
