doctor bills
My husband recently passed away from cancer, he had medical insurance, but a high deductable, I was not on his policy, am I responsible for paying these bills?

His estate will be responsible unless you signed as a guarantor when he was admitted to the hospital.
Also, in some instances, a married person can be asked to contribute, but that doctrine, the doctrine of necessaries, is probably not a viable way for the hospital to pursue you.
If you husband had assets that make probate an option, you should consider visiting with a probate attorney and finding out what needs to be done.
