finance responsiblity for dead mother

My mom owed $1360.00 to citi bank credit card. am I responsible for that bill now..

No. Why would you think that you would be legally responsible for a debt incurred by someone else? If there was a probate estate opened the creditor could file a claim and attempt to collect through the probate court. If they are trying to collect from you, advise them in writing that this is not your legal obligation. Insist that they cease all further collection contacts and insist that they notify any credit bureaus if in fact they have reported this on your credit. Keep a copy of the letter you send. They might violate the federal consumer protection laws and then you would be able to sue them. Good luck.
