Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
Fraudulent Opening of Credit Cards
My husband and I purchased a couple bikes from a dealership over a year ago. Late last fall or early winter he went back into the store and asked how much they would give him on a trade in if he decided to get another bike. 3-4 weeks later we each receive a credit card in the mail, total availabilty of credit over 30k. This put a huge dent in our credit score. Our old records from a previous purchase was pulled to do this without our consent verbally or on paper. I didn't even walk into the building and yet my information was dug up. What are my options as a consumer?

Re: Fraudulent Opening of Credit Cards
You may have a consumer claim. However, I would have to know more facts in order to tell you for sure. I would also need to speak with both you and your husband. I would also need to read a copy of any and all documents you have executed relating to the bikes. These bikes can be obtained if you do not still have copies of them. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to discuss in greater detail.
