Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I have been garnished for bills that belong to and are in my Ex-wifes name that she acquired after our separation/divorce the attorney that keeps doing this to me knows this but continues to some how get my pay checks taken.I have hired help in the past to stop this but cant always afford to and it has happened again.I have never been to court for a garnishment hearing infact the court paper says I did not appear this has been going on for about 11 years now and I just cant take the bullying crap any more I need some real help to put a stop to this

If there is no judgment against you, then probably no basis for garnishing your wages. But, you mentioned that Court records shows that you didn't appear. Did the creditor allege that you owed the debt, you failed to appear, and/or file an Anwer denying the Petition, and the Court granted them Judgment against you be default? This is a. Common occurrence. If that is the case, your recourse is to sue your ex spouse for reimbursement of what has been collected from you. If there is no judgment against you, sue the creditor or their attorney. There are lawyers that will take such cases on a contingent fee or modified fee basis. Find out if there is a judgment against you.
