Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

i own a house and it is titled in my name and son's. he now has been sued for hospital bill and the attorney has said he will sell his half of the house for collection of the bill. (just told him this in court this morning). is this legal?

The attorney can not sell "one-half" of a house.
