If a lien is placed on property owned by one individual and he dies and an heir inherits said property is the lien still active or does it go away when original owner dies?

The decedent cannot pas more then she owns. If her property was subject to lien, she can only pass the property subject to that lien. But, not all liens are enfomrced. There may be actions a devisee can take to clear up the lien.
