Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

Money

A trip was booked with my boyfriend and I and he paid for it using his mom's credit card for us. Now we are broke up and his mom is trying to go after me for the money when he booked it agreed to pay for the trip. Does she even has a leg to stand on? She's threatning small claims court. I didn't even want the trip in the first place. And I never agreed to pay for anything. Please advise.

Re: Money

If you did not agree to pay for the trip, it is a gift, and it is doubtful that momma can get any money out of you.

But keep in mind, the kid will say you did agree. So it may be wise to offer some money. But if you have good evidence that there was no agreement before hand, and the kid will back you up, then you may not want to.
