Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
parent now in nursing facility, has credit card in their name only, can credit card company go after their house for payment. Need to sale house for money for facility.

If the credit card company sues the parent and get the judgment, they may have a lien against the parent's house. Until they do that, they would have no claim to the house, unless yoru parent signed something else to use the house as security for the credit card. That is very very rare. If the credit card company already has ajudgment agsint parent, then most title companies will not insure over, until that debt is satisfied. It may be to yrou parent's advantage to sell the house before the credit card company sues.
