prommisary note

i asked for time to get an attorney. attorney for bank told judge, set next court date for june 19 for discovery and told me i could go. what does discovery mean?

Discovery is the general term for the formalized gathering of information from one litigant to another. It sounds like they are going to send you requests for admission, interrogatories and requests for production of documents. You have a limited time to respond to these.

Get an attorney soon. If you fail to respond, the bank might win the case without having to prove anything at trial (you will be deemed as having admitted all the needed facts)
