Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I am being pursued for a summons dealing with a payday loan. I am currently not employed and I'm a student. I am being fined for up to $4,000 and I don't have the funds to pay this. What are my options?

I don't think that you are being "fined". If you have been served with a summons it appears that you are being sued. You should consult with an attorney to see if the attorney can save you more money than the attorney would charge to represent you. In many of these cases, we can make arrangements to settle the lawsuit upon terms that you can live with.
