Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
If you can, I would like to get this question answered as soon as possible.
Last week my boyfriend got arrested because he failed to meet with his P.O. He has been on probation since January for forgery of a bad check and April was the only month he failed to meet with her. When he got arrested one cop told me that since it's his first offense he will only get 30 days and come out with a clean slate, but other people have told me it's only going to be 60-90 days. My boyfriend told me that I could get information from his P.O. but she can't. So I was wondering if it is true or not if he will only be in there for 30 days, I have no other way of finding out and my only communication with him is through letters, and I'm not sure if he even knows when he's getting out.

If the P.O. is seeking to have your boyfriend's probation revoked it is likely that the court will allow him to be released from custody on bond. An attorney would need to know all of the facts before he or she could give you any opinion on how much, if any, time your boyfriend will be serving. YOur boyfriend definitley needs to hire the very best criminal defense attorey he can afford. If he does not already have an attorney, you may call me on his behalf for a free telephone consultation.
