Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri
I recently applied for a mortgage loan and a judgement from 2010 was found on my credit report. A bit of research revealed that in early 2010 LVNV Funding, a purchaser of old debt, was awarded a judgement against me. Further, a garnishment order was also issued and executed. However, I was never made aware of the judgment, and the garnishment was issued to a company that I never worked for. So how do I address this quickly some 6 years later so that I can gain mortgage approval?
