Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I recently have been sent a letter to appear in court for an old credit card. I have not made any payments and I owe a little over a thousand dollars. I live in missouri. I was wondering if I use the statue of limitations? My last payment to them as been over five years.

If there is awritten agreement, and you made a payment less than ten years ago, you probably do not have the statute of limitations as a viable defense. You should take all yoru paperwork to a defense attorney and get more advice before choosing how to proceed.

Good luck
