Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

if a relative gives u an inheritance and no contracts were signed to repay the money are u by law obligated to repay it if they ask for it? Also can your wages be garnished ?

Was it a gift or was it a loan. If it was a loan the other party might be able to sue you, obtain a judgment and garnish your wages. If there is enough money involved to justify the expense, you might want to consult with an attroeny concerning your legal rights and potential liability.
