Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

i was served a few days ago by one of my creditors and i dont have the money they are asking and i have bad credit and not able to get a loan i was ill laste year due to diabetic complitations and in the hospital with gangrene in my feet and lost my big toe and was off work for 4 mounth due to this im ok now and back to work but so far behind i dont know what to do ?

I would strongluy advise you to find a way to hire an attorney to represent you in the lawsuit filed by the creditor. YOur attorney should be able to save you more money than he or she costs you. If you can not afford an attorney be sure to appear on your court date. The creditor's attorney will try to talk you into signing a Consent Judgment, but you will be able to get a continuance from the judge. Maybe this would give you enough time to hire an attorney.
