Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I signed a consent judgment with attorneys who were collecting a credit card debt. I made payments for a year and a half, reducing $17,000 to under $8,000. Missed a payment and they immediately garnished my wages, and added $1,995 in attorneys' fees to the remaining debt. I think the fees are excesive and extortionate. What can I do about the excessive charges?

Read your consent judgment. I would bet that these terms are included and that these charges are not excessive under the terms of the judgment.
